A Lady’s estate 14k white gold natural diamond and sapphire starburst dinner ring. C 1990s

A very beautiful lady’s estate sapphire and diamond dinner ring from the late 1990s with an absolutely stunning visual appeal. Originally purchased from Bailey, Banks and Biddles (one of our nation’s oldest jewelers), it comes with it’s original box. There are a total of eight (8) diamonds in the ring. The center diamond is a 0.36 carat (i.e. 1/3rd carat) round brilliant cut diamond. The weight was estimated by mathematical formula. It measures approximately 4.70 mm – 4.76 mm in diameter by 2.70 mm deep. The measurements are approximate due to the restrictions imposed by the mounting. It is an F in color (i.e. colorless) and a VS2 in clarity (there are no eye visible inclusions). It is bright, white, clean and sparkly. Surrounding the center diamond are six round brilliant cut diamond melee accents with an estimated and approximate total diamond weight of 0.65 carats. They too are approximately in the F color range and the VS clarity range. All the diamonds are very finely matched. The total diamond weight for the entire ring is approximately 1.01 carats. Interspersed throughout the ring are twelve (12) medium dark royal blue round mixed cut natural sapphire accents with an estimated, combined and approximate total weight of 1.72 carats. The sapphires are assumed to have been heat treated (which is a common practice) and are priced accordingly.

The ring is a size 6 1/2. The ring can be sized up or down by your local professional goldsmith to fit if required. The ring weighs approximately 4.2 pennyweight. The condition is very good. I was told it was considered very precious and was rarely worn.
